Museum Overview

Denis Chastel Sauzet, owner of Château Portier and the renowned Moulin à Vent, will passionately guide you through the stones, the history, and the senses; and will gladly offer you tastings of his wines and fruit juices. Group bookings available.

The walled Château Portier, with its shaded plane tree terraces and Burgundian towers with glazed tiles, is a characteristic Beaujolais building. Built just a few meters from the famous Windmill, a 15th-century historical monument, Château Portier is an ideal place for hosting individuals and groups.
The château's vines grow on the most renowned terroirs of Southern Burgundy in Moulin à Vent, Fleurie, Chénas, Chiroubles, Juliénas, Beaujolais Village, Beaujolais and Saint Véran.
