Pottery workshops for adults and teenagers

Discover clay, its textures, colors, and various techniques: modeling, stamping, wheel throwing, then freely and creatively pursue personal projects. The full-time workshop can offer the opportunity to create a large piece.

In small groups of 5 people maximum, in a caring and friendly atmosphere.
I give beginners two basic techniques:
Shaping in the mass, in order to fully understand the impact of the hand on the material.
Slab work: understanding three-dimensional space from a clay slab.
Then, for everyone, you create at your own pace according to your inspiration, and I guide you for your personal projects by mixing techniques.
You use earthenware or stoneware of different colours and grain sizes.
You will use engobes for the decoration of your work or an enamel that I will apply after the first firing of the bisque.

I offer workshops of two, three, four or five days. Over a weekend, a long weekend or a week.
The four or five day courses allow you to complete a large piece.

I also offer filming services, a technique that requires patience and concentration. I will teach you the rigor of this discipline so that you can have the satisfaction of producing high-quality work.
Supply of clay, firing and glazing tools included

During the workshops, we will not be able to glaze and fire your pieces.
Indeed, the Earth's cycle requires patience and time.
You can then come and collect your pieces once they are fired. We can also send them to you (shipping costs will then apply).

Meals are brought from home and eaten together.
