Presentation
The visit to the Mussy-sous-Dun viaduct takes place in Saône-et-Loire, a neighboring department of the Rhône and therefore of Beaujolais. This easy walk starts at the Boug de Mussy-sous-Dun (71).
The viaduct bears witness to a rich industrial past and is above all an architectural feat for its time. We will see the journey of the construction materials and put ourselves in the shoes of one of the 250 workers who labored on this 19th-century construction site.
Together with the Echarmeaux tunnel and the St Nizier d'Azergues Loop, they form a set of 3 sites that can be visited in half a day.
