What is a Forest Bath? It is a sensory experience, a moment in nature, to reconnect with oneself, with nature, with the living world around us of which we are a part, but from which we are often cut off.
Why take a forest bath? It's a moment of well-being and relaxation that helps reduce stress, decrease cortisol production, lower blood pressure, stimulate our immune system, breathe, take time for ourselves, and connect with nature and trees.
This method was once an integral part of daily life in every culture, and was officially registered as a cornerstone of preventive medicine in Japan in 1980. They were therefore able to implement several scientific studies that confirm the benefits of forest bathing on our health and physical and mental well-being.
What happens during a forest bathing session? It's much more than a simple walk. During this sensory experience of connecting with nature, you wander slowly, in peace and quiet. Several opportunities will be offered along the way, related to the theme chosen for the outing. The group dynamic amplifies the benefits of this experience.
