Embark on a day hike with your guide along marked trails, a journey rich in discoveries. You'll enjoy numerous panoramic views of the Monts du Lyonnais and learn more about the visible remains of the aqueduct in the Lyon countryside.
From Chaponost, your guide will organize a carpool with you to get to the starting point of this hike (Orliénas).
From the starting car park, you'll walk through the undergrowth and discover part of the history of the village of Orliénas over time before continuing your journey through the orchards towards Soucieu-en-Jarrest. You'll encounter several remains of the Gier aqueduct, which will be explained to you. Can you connect them?
Your guide will provide you with the necessary information to complete this giant puzzle. Then, you will explore the protected natural area of the Vallée en Barret before a well-deserved picnic break.
In the afternoon, you will head towards the Garon siphon bridge and then back up to the center of Chaponost, passing by the Gichardet wall. The hike will continue through the Boulard park to reach the longest series of arches visible in France.

Details concerning animals Animals must be kept on a leash throughout the hike.
Bring your own picnic, suitable hiking shoes (such as sneakers/walking boots), appropriate weather gear (hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, etc.), and enough water for the entire hike and picnic (at least 1,5 liter recommended). Duration: full day (approximately 8 hours).
