Join our guide for a day trip along the trails from Chabanière to Mornant for a 15.5km guided hike to discover the Gier Aqueduct. You'll enjoy the beautiful scenery with panoramic views of the Monts du Lyonnais and the Pilat.

From Mornant, your guide will arrange carpooling to the starting point of this hike (the village of Saint-Maurice-sur-Dargoire in Chabanière). The hike will include stops to see the various remains of this hydraulic structure.

From your parking spot, you'll delve into the undergrowth of the Bozançon Valley, a protected natural area that shelters several remains of the aqueduct. You'll continue your route through the village center of Saint-Maurice-sur-Dargoire. The rest of the walk will take you through orchards, with a lunch break by the Madone Lake. The afternoon will be dedicated to exploring the aqueduct in the village center of Mornant, including its underground section.

Route with elevation gain: Total negative elevation gain: 447 m - Total positive elevation gain: 354 m Bring your picnic, good hiking shoes, enough water for the whole day (1 possible refueling point in the mid-afternoon on the route), clothing suitable for the weather conditions, walking poles if needed.
