Sang d'Encre is a series of days dedicated to crime fiction, organized since 1994 by the MJC of Vienne in collaboration with the bookstores Lucioles and Les Bulles de Vienne.
Get ready for two days of meetings and activities!

Literary café, seminars, circle discussions, book signings, interactions with writers: every year at the end of November, immerse yourself in a dark atmosphere throughout the weekend thanks to a multitude of activities!

The first Sang d'Encre festival was created in Vienne in November 1995, born from the enthusiasm of a few crime fiction enthusiasts. These days dedicated to crime fiction, organized by the Vienne Youth and Culture Center, have gained significant recognition over the years among writers, publishers, booksellers, and audiences alike! Since 2021, Sang d'Encre has been held in the Manège hall, located two kilometers from the heart of Vienne. It is also possible to organize events related to Sang d'Encre and book signings with authors.

Free admission. Pay-what-you-want reflects a desire to make culture accessible to everyone! Organizing such a festival has a cost. Visitors are free to choose the amount they wish to contribute, considering it a fair price based on their means.
