In a seemingly secluded provincial life, yet deeply connected to her fellow human beings, the poet Marie Noël carried the whole world in her song. Grappling with daily contradictions, the call of writing, and her inner struggles, she makes this "inconsolable cry of Man" resonate with us.
Starting from her poems and intimate notes, the Compagnie la Première seconde has chosen to bring out of the shadows the beauty of a little-known personality, her intangible thirst, her humor and the inner struggle of an artist designated by Aragon, Cocteau, Colette, Montherlant,… as one of the greatest French poetesses.
