Val d'Oingt
Located in the center of the village, this living museum of mechanical music was completely redesigned in 2021 to allow a family audience to discover all types of mechanical musical instruments from their creation in the 18th century to the present day.
As you explore the atmospheres created around the instruments, you will discover the history of the serinette (the first mechanical musical instrument), barrel organs, phonographs, music boxes, player pianos, and other automata. All the instruments on display are in working order.
This museum is run by an association that develops and maintains it thanks to your donations. Thank you for your generosity.
We also offer guided tours for groups and primary schools (currently under development). Further information is available at www.oingt.ovh
