45th Drum Organ Festival

Hear ye, hear ye, good people: Let the festival begin.
Come to the open-air café, in the streets, at the church, … and listen to the refrains, the fables, the concerts and the songs.

From yesteryear or today, tragic, melodramatic, melancholic or comic, these tunes will transport you, make you forget everything. Come and marvel at the crank turners, the automatons, the jugglers, the carousel...those who want to listen to the music and enjoy themselves.

Every year, many of you come to have fun with your families.
The music of barrel organs echoes through the narrow streets of Oingt, accompanied by the songs of the organ grinders. Nearly 150 of them participate in the Barrel Organ Festival.

Of course, without the organ players there would be no festival, no music, no celebration. They volunteer their time and rely on YOU to buy their CDs, souvenirs, etc. They will also often ask for your help with the beret-wearing tour...

They will be playing in the streets of the village on Saturday, September 5th from 14pm and continuously on Sunday the 6th from 11am.

As every year, we expect a large audience.

The program also includes several additional activities:

Refreshment stands run by volunteers from the association, "Friends of the Old Village of Oingt," are open all weekend. The profits generated allow the association to work for 60 years to offer you an ever more welcoming village.

Please prioritize carpooling; a guarded bicycle park and two disabled parking spaces will be available.
We would like to remind visitors to respect the parking regulations by using only the designated parking areas clearly marked with signs. These areas are FREE, so don't risk a parking ticket…

Entry to this international festival is also FREE, so come with your family and sing to the sound of barrel organs.
In Oingt, everyone has been preparing for a long time, but on this day, everyone is mobilized: organizers, first responders, security, cooks... They will allow YOU to experience the barrel organ festival: without them, it would be unthinkable, downright impossible!!! And this has been going on for over forty years...

-morning: Mass with live music accompanied by a barrel organ,
-lunch: barbecue menu (Place de Presberg) or meal at the Oingt village hall, in the company of barrel organ players on reservation (06 88 15 05 52).
