Jazz à Vienne invites you to the 45th edition of the festival in 2026! Every year, more than 220,000 festival-goers come to meet the 1000 artists performing on 4 stages, including the most legendary: the Ancient Theatre.

This internationally renowned festival celebrates all musical genres: gospel, blues, soul, funk, world music… Each will find its place on the festival stages, as the event is fully experienced both at the Ancient Theatre and on one of the various other stages. The Ancient Theatre, built in the 1st century, is the iconic venue of Jazz à Vienne. Its unique acoustics, combined with its rich history, offer an exceptional setting for the audience and the internationally acclaimed artists who perform there. A true blend of modernity and antiquity, a genuine musical fusion, the festival, rich in its diversity, aims to be inclusive and open to all.

Jazz à Vienne invites you to its 45th edition in 2026. This anniversary edition marks the beginning of a unique partnership between Jazz à Vienne and the Annecy International Animation Film Festival. With 65 years of history, this festival has established itself over the years as the world's largest event dedicated to animation. It encompasses both the Festival and the International Animation Film Market and offers a rich program of screenings, previews, retrospectives, conferences, exhibitions, and more. Celebrating creativity and the diversity of styles and techniques (from traditional drawing to virtual reality), the event brings together talents from around the globe.

Together, Jazz à Vienne and Annecy Festival are initiating a dialogue between music and image, improvisation and visual creation, stage and screen. This fruitful intersection of music and animation opens the way to new forms of storytelling, programming, and experiences for audiences and artists.

Each edition of Jazz à Vienne is a new adventure that the festival teams carefully prepare, always with you, our valued audience, in mind. This year, to mark the centenary of Miles Davis's birth, Jazz à Vienne honors one of the most influential figures in music history. This 45th edition celebrates a visionary and audacious artist whose legacy continues to profoundly influence contemporary creation. Throughout the festival, the spirit of Miles Davis will permeate this anniversary edition.

Paying tribute is essential, not only to pass on the history of music, but also to understand the influences that nourish contemporary creation. Jazz à Vienne thus continues its mission by offering, once again this year, five original creations. In total, 167 concerts spread over 17 days will make up this 45th edition, nearly three-quarters of which are free. Nineteen groups will perform for the first time on the stage of the Ancient Theatre, sometimes for a single performance in France, like Jon Batiste's concert. The traditional marathon day will be extended into two "Super Sundays." The story of Jazz à Vienne continues to be written with you, alongside world-renowned artists, in the magnificent Gallo-Roman setting of the city of Vienne.
