L'Arbresle has given birth to or welcomed around ten men and women of national renown, including: Claude Terrasse, composer of comic operas of the Belle Epoque, Barthélémy Thimonnier, inventor of the sewing machine, André Lassagne, great resistance fighter, Agnès Capri, pioneer of cabaret theatres, Antonin Dubost, president of the senate during the Great War, Maître Philippe, thaumaturge and friend of the Tsars and the great men of Russia....
The tour is guided by a member of the Friends of Old L'Arbresle association.
