The Benedictine abbey of Saint Martin de Savigny is documented from the early years of the 9th century. It played a leading role in the medieval history of the Lyonnais region until the 16th century and was suppressed shortly before the French Revolution.
The guided tour for groups allows you to discover the remains of the abbey: the lapidary museum (which houses around a hundred listed sculptures), the clock tower (panoramic view of the village and the region), the houses of dignitaries (abbot, chamberlain, cellarer), the location of the cloister and the abbey church, the rampart path, but also the Saint Andrew church and trompe-l'œil painted decorations on some of the village facades.

The visit can also be done individually.
Minimum age: 6 years
The clock tower and the lapidary museum are not accessible to people with reduced mobility. The tower can accommodate a maximum of 15 people at a time. Several tour groups of more than 20 people are possible.
