Presentation

Fancy exploring at your own pace? The tourist office offers a guided tour of the Roman aqueduct of Gier with an audio guide. 2000 years of history will be recounted with photos, vintage postcards, and diagrams. Duration: 1 hour.

Two routes are offered: 1 adult route and 1 children's route from 8 years old.
The longest series of arches visible in France (550m)! The most monumental part of the Gier Aqueduct, this site presents one of the best preserved aqueducts, which supplied Lugdunum with water from the beginning of the 2nd century.
Guided tours with a lecturer guide are also available on request throughout the year.

Other details

Rental available at the tourist office reception. Parents are responsible for the rental of the device. An identity card will be required for the duration of the video guide rental.

Opening

From November 5th to December 30st, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9am to 04pm and from 2pm to 5:30pm. Saturdays from 9am to 12pm and from 2pm to 6pm. Thursdays from 2pm to 5:30pm.

From 02/05 to 02/11, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 9am to 12pm and from 14pm to 17:30pm. Weekends from 9am to 12pm and from 14pm to 18pm. Thursday from 14pm to 17:30pm.
