Presentation

Accompanied by a cultural mediator, set off for a stroll in the heart of the historic center of L'Arbresle to discover 2 works of art installed outdoors, as well as the heritage of the town which is medieval, Renaissance and industrial.

This guided walk is open to pre-formed groups (family gatherings, associations, works councils, etc.) all year round upon request.
The walk is also accessible all year round independently without a guide.

The two works of art to discover:

“The Great Rock”, by Laurent Pernot – Val des Chenevières
The large rock will be visible in the Val des Chènevières. This work focuses on the floods that have marked the memories of the inhabitants of the Pays de L'Arbresle, thus addressing the relationship between man and nature, particularly through climate change.

“{ Accolade Lapidaire }”, by Stefan Shankland – Place de la République
{ Accolade Lapidaire } is a horizontal sculpture composed of seven elements inspired by architectural motifs found in the heritage of L'Arbresle. These motifs, stylized and enlarged, will be projected onto the ground of the Place de la République in L'Arbresle using “natural” stones, that is to say, recycled concrete from quarries, deposits, industries, workshops and construction sites in the territory of L'Arbresle.
