Starting from the original location of Montrottier, the hamlet of St-Martin-les-Périls, you will discover its 10th century church and its priory castle built by the abbey of Savigny.
The tour begins at Montrottier's place of origin: the hamlet of St-Martin-Les-Périls, where a small church was built in the 10th century and later became the parish church. A priory-castle was built by the Abbey of Savigny on the hill overlooking this church in the 11th century to defend the abbey. The aim of the tour is to learn about and understand the structure of this priory-castle.
