The exhibition "Museo Behind the Scenes. A Museum, Professions" reveals what is invisible to visitors and invites them to discover what happens every day behind the museum doors.
In 2026, the Paul-Dini municipal museum celebrates its 25th anniversary! To mark the occasion, the museum team has prepared new exhibitions and projects, which aim to strengthen the museum's connection with its audiences.
The exhibition "Behind the Scenes at the Museum: A Museum, Many Professions" reveals what is invisible to visitors and invites them to discover what happens every day behind the museum's doors. Through portraits of the staff, the exhibition presents the various professions and the people who work tirelessly to ensure the preservation and enhancement of the collections. How is an exhibition organized? What happens to the works that are not on display? Who writes the gallery texts? How are the visitor routes designed?... The questions associated with the museum are numerous and varied.
Using artworks specially selected by the team, visitors are invited to immerse themselves in the daily lives of those who bring the museum to life. This fun and interactive experience showcases the many tasks that often take place behind the scenes: documentation, collections management, technical support, management, conservation, administration… And let's not forget the key role of the mediators and reception staff, who are much more than just the "face of the museum." Discover how the team works every day and prepares to offer you magnificent works in constantly evolving exhibitions.
The exhibition is curated collectively by the entire team at the Paul-Dini Museum. This new approach was chosen to highlight the collaborative work required to organize each exhibition and offer a rich cultural program.
