During this period of Jazz in Vienna and for "Jazz Volumes" at the Butchers' Hall, Franck Chalendard plans to create a series of large-format canvases on jazz variations as well as sculptures.
Born in 1966 in Haute-Loire, Franck Chalendard lives and works in Saint Étienne.
For the Butchers' Hall, Franck Chalendard plans to create a series of large-format canvases based on jazz variations, as well as sculptures that will serve as extensions of these paintings in space and volume. The idea is to achieve a three-dimensional extension of the painting, a control of space through painting in a contrapuntal harmony that will allow the superimposition of all the languages at work to be heard: the architecture of the place, form, color, and music.
