Museum Overview

"80 years of the MFR of Saint-Martin-en-Haut – One House, One History": since 1945, a house that trains, supports and helps generations of young people grow.
Inauguration: Friday, May 29th at 15pm.
Time for attendance and discussion: Wednesday, June 17th.

Presented by the MFR/CFA of Saint-Martin-en-Haut, this exhibition celebrates eight decades of commitment to training, youth and the territory of the Monts du Lyonnais.

Since 1945, the MFR/CFA has supported generations of young people in their training, apprenticeship and life journey. Initially a domestic science center, then a recognized institution in the automotive mechanics and equipment maintenance trades, it has evolved with the times while remaining true to its founding values: respect, solidarity, commitment, responsibility and proximity to the local area.

Through archives, photographs, testimonies, and poignant memories, this exhibition retraces 80 years of human, educational, and professional history. It highlights the women and men who have brought this institution to life over the decades: apprentices, families, instructors, master craftsmen, employees, administrators, and partners.

Much more than a training center, the MFR is a place for meeting, sharing knowledge, and support, where everyone can find their place and build their future. For eight decades, it has actively participated in local life and the success of thousands of young people.

Through this exhibition, the visitor is invited to discover — or rediscover — the soul of this house, deeply rooted in the collective memory of the territory.
