About Lucrezia Andreae
Lucrèce Andreae cultivated her love of animation by attending the Gobelins and La Poudrière schools. Her first film, Pépé le Morse (Pepe the Walrus), winner of the 2018 César Award for Best Animated Short Film, was enthusiastically received by the film world. Both tender and raw, the film depicts characters lost in the face of death, prey to the ghostly eruption of their buried emotions.
In 2020, the graphic novel Flipette et Vénère gave Lucrèce the opportunity to examine her political ideas and her complex relationship with the contemporary world. It showcases what has become her signature style: a certain freshness in addressing intimate and profound subjects. She is currently working on an animated feature film for children as well as an autobiographical graphic novel.
