Presentation

The micro-adventures of the Beaujolais Geopark guide you through wide open spaces and introduce you to local producers. On this walking route, breathe in the fresh air in the Beaujolais hills and discover the Saint Rigaud massif.

During this walking route, take a breath of fresh air in the heights of Beaujolais and discover the Saint Rigaud massif.
Venturing onto the trails of the Saint-Rigaud massif means first entering a dense forest, the realm of the Douglas fir, omnipresent on the heights of Beaujolais and exhibiting remarkable mechanical properties for wood construction.
From the observation tower at the summit, one can see the vineyard to the east, the Beaujolais mountains to the south, the Loire plain to the west and the Charolais Brionnais region to the north, where a landscape transition influenced by geology takes place.
Stop producers: the Col de Crie local grocery store (next to the Maison de la Randonnée et du Trail) offers small meals and local products from Beaujolais.
