The Château de Champ-Renard welcomes you to a unique setting for a small-group introductory wine tasting workshop. Using a selection of wines, this tasting will allow you to discover the wines that suit you best.

You will have the privilege of enjoying the exceptional setting of the first-floor salons at Château de Champ-Renard. This introduction will begin with a fun aroma recognition workshop, followed by a blind tasting (with bottles concealed) of six wines of different character (three whites and three reds), where you will decipher the wines based on the sensations experienced.
We will introduce you to the basics of wine tasting by following the three stages of visual, olfactory, and gustatory tasting. Here are the steps we will follow during this tasting: describing the wine's appearance and color, describing the aromas you discover, describing the initial taste on the palate, describing the wine's mouthfeel and flavors, and finally, describing the finish. For each wine tasted, we will describe the wine region, appellation, grape variety (or varieties), vintage, aging potential, characteristic aromas and flavors of the appellation, and recommended food pairings.
Depending on your preferences, you'll get a sense of the wine styles that suit you best. The pleasure comes from discovering the aromas, flavors, and differences between various wines. Forget all your preconceptions; learn to form your own opinion of the wine in your glass. A fun way to discover the wines that resonate most with you.
