Museum Overview

Whether young or old, come and meet Alexandra and her 50 goats in the Haut Beaujolais: from the meadow, discover the farmer, the farm, the peasant know-how, and participate in the visit by molding your own cheese before tasting it!

14:00 PM - 15:00 PM: Welcome to the group, introduction to the farmer and the farm. Visit to the goats in their pasture; the slope doesn't deter the little goats. Explanation of goat farming and the farmer's profession: Alexandra adapts to your level of knowledge with a pedagogical approach. If the goats are interested, you can pet them!

15:00 PM – 15:30 PM: Visit to the farm and goat barn. You will learn more about the history of the farm and the challenges of the evolving profession.

15:30 PM - 16:00 PM: Tour of the cheese factory from the shop. As the workshop must comply with health regulations, the tour will take place behind a glass partition where you can observe Alexandra. You will finally be able to answer the question "how is cheese made?".

In the barn area, you'll get your hands dirty making the cheese! Utensils and curd will be provided: ready to mold your cheese with a ladle?

16:00 PM - 16:30 PM: Time for the tasting.
Your taste buds will appreciate a variety of traditional cheeses and their different degrees of aging. You'll start with fresh, soft cheese and then gradually move towards drier cheeses. Don't hesitate to ask any questions; it's a great opportunity to connect!

You can finish with a visit to the shop to test your knowledge with a tasting for your loved ones or simply take home a farm souvenir!
