Azergues Horse

Discover the magnificent landscapes of Beaujolais and the Upper Azergues Valley. Enjoy walks in small groups of 1 to 7 people, led by qualified and experienced guides. Walks are available for 2 hours, 3 hours, or a full day. Beginners welcome. Gift vouchers available.

For the enjoyment and safety of all, horseback riding and hiking activities are only possible if the weather conditions are favorable.

From February to November (weather permitting) we offer 2 or 3 hour walks to discover the ridges and forests around the small villages of Chamelet, Létra and Ternand.
From May to October, day rides can be organised for experienced riders (minimum 6 people): 5 to 6 hours in the saddle with a picnic break.

We also offer longer hikes upon request:
“Discovery Weekend”: 2 days of hiking with overnight stay in a gîte.
"Adventure Weekend": 2 days of hiking with an overnight bivouac under the stars
or longer hikes alternating between guesthouses and bivouacs.
For riders with their own horses, we offer the organization and support (guiding) of your multi-day treks (please ask us for a quote).

Our internships (on request):
We also organize "outdoor horse" courses, the objective being to allow the rider/horse pair to practice riding in a natural environment with full knowledge and safety.
Discovering nature, recognizing the fauna and flora of our region, learning independence with the aim of progressing from outdoor walks to equestrian treks. Acquiring techniques in topography and orientation, knot tying, and horsemanship.

Breaking in and training:
For riders who own their own horses and are experiencing difficulties with them, we offer joint rehabilitation based on simple ethological techniques which we help you to put into practice (individual course, information on request).

Our guesthouses
In pastures only; they are available year-round and weekly, allowing riders who love the outdoors to come and discover a new area for riding or to deepen their hiking techniques.
