Let yourself be transported to the heart of the 10th century, when a community of monks from Cluny took over this site, which was in the past a likely monastery.

According to legend, in 983, theAbbé Mayol performs a miracle by restoring sight to a blind man through a miraculous spring.

Today, this place bears his name.

You will discover the Saint-Mayol church, the old cloister, the convent buildings (hair salon, tourist office and presbytery), the historically rich perimeter walls, as well as the monks' garden which, on the north side, offers a breathtaking view of the Rhône Valley.

This former cemetery, in use until the 19th century, will be restored and opened to the public in 2025 via a footbridge connecting to the church square. It will offer visitors a unique panoramic view, complete with a viewpoint indicator and benches.

Divided during the Revolution, the buildings on the church square were acquired by the municipality from 1990 to 2017. Restoration work in several phases is underway, made necessary by the deterioration of the buildings and roofs.

History, heritage and nature intertwine to offer you a unique and unforgettable experience!
