Collaborative governance serving the territory
Rhône Tourisme is the tool of the Rhône Department to implement its tourism policy. Organised as a public industrial and commercial establishment (EPIC), it is based on a collaborative governance involving elected officials, tourism professionals, consular chambers, tourist offices and association partners.
A representative Board of Directors
The Board of Directors is composed of 21 members divided into two groups:
- a majority college consisting of the president of the Rhône Department and 11 departmental councillors
- a second college bringing together representatives of consular chambers, tourism and leisure professionals and institutions, as well as the Auvergne Rhône-Alpes Regional Tourism Agency
The Board of Directors defines Rhône Tourisme's strategy, approves the main guidelines, budget, action plans and partnerships. It also elects the president and vice-president of the organization.
An office to ensure strategic management
The Executive Committee, elected by the Board of Directors, is composed of four members: the President, the Vice-President, and two representatives from the second group. It may be consulted whenever deemed necessary by the President, Ms. Martine Publié, to actively participate in monitoring strategic directions and their operational implementation.
A Development Committee open to local stakeholders
To foster exchange, consultation, and innovation, Rhône Tourisme also relies on a Development Committee. This advisory group brings together partners committed to the tourism development of the Rhône region and plays a proactive role in the development of projects.
A committed operational team
Led by the director of the EPIC, Mr. Jean-Louis Vazette, the Rhône Tourisme team coordinates projects, supports partners in an engineering approach, and implements the actions defined in the multi-year agreement signed with the Department.
